Finishing #GrainThursday with The Tweedale Grain of Truth Peated a blend of 50% peated malt based grain & 50% wheat based grain. A combination of whisky from @LochLomondMalts Coffey Stills on the malt side of the distillery & grain whisky from the grain side of the distillery.

@tweeddaleblend @lych_gate We had 6 different whiskies in total. We also tried Mackmyra Brukswhisky, Lakes The One (Orange Wine Cask), Starward Left Field, Legent Bourbon and Glenfiddich Fire and Cane.

Grain of Truth went down well and surprised people as a Single Grain (we blind tasted them).

Whisky No2 from last weeks tasting was @tweeddaleblend Grain of Truth Single Grain Scotch Whisky.

50% wheat + 50% malted barley, matured in bourbon barrels & finished for 9 months in Oloroso sherry hogsheads.

A limited release, 46% abv, natural colour, non-chill filtered.

ザ・トゥイーデイル グレーンオブトゥルース(@tweeddaleblend)
ハイランド産の大麦と小麦のみ使用とのこと。バーボン樽熟成でオロロソ樽でフィニッシュ。オロロソの影響は少なめ麦の甘味と爽やかなスパイス。

ティーリングのシングルグレーンよりコクがある。

@whisky_antiques Very nice! The Coldstream Brewery started in the late 1790’s about a 100 years earlier. J&A Davidson we’re established in 1820 & acquired the brewery around 1865. There are still some full bottles in @ColdstreamGds Museum in the market Square.
