@MichaelSteeber If you want to dig more into what I did, I posted a lot on IG. Look up account “spanishcasa” and I think you’ll enjoy browsing 😄 And ask anything, I love to share!
@MichaelSteeber Black and white was a 10’s to early 20’s design that trailed into the late 20’s. It was seen as sanitary and promoted cleanliness. Also why finishes in kitchens and bath were often nickel or chrome as opposed to brass!
@MichaelSteeber And as far as the appliances, common sense. But the tactile feedback, the weight of the knobs, handles is like no other. I love cooking on that stove and couldn’t go back to a modern one if you paid me. Fridge is small, but never had an issue for two people / 1week of food.
@MichaelSteeber Not at all, if anything, it’s tougher and can take some abuse. I’ve so many flipped homes with IKEA MDF cabinets that feel flimsy. For instance, the wood was so hard I broke some hinges screws and had to extract them 😅
@MichaelSteeber Appliances are NOS for the toaster, sandwich / waffle press, and coffee maker. I restored the 1934 Refrigerator, as well as the wall mount GE Fan. Had the 1929 stove restored and rebuilt. Restored and rewired light fixtures.
All new plaster and no drywall.
