In the Irish town of Newtownmountkennedy, the government has set up a camp for Middle Eastern and African “refugees”, all of whom are single, military-aged men. They’re not real refugees — they walked across the border from Northern Ireland, which is a part of the UK. There is no danger in the UK — they were all just shopping for the most generous refugee benefits in the world.

Some of them likely were escaping deportation orders in the UK, possibly for committing crimes there. It is standard for bogus refugees to destroy their passports and other ID to hide their true identities, after arriving in Ireland. It’s weird to hear refugees talking in British slang (bruv, fam, etc.) Only the Irish government is stupid enough to believe they’re really refugees.

The government has built a ten-foot-tall steel wall around the camp, spiked with surveillance cameras. But it’s not a jail.

The foreign men can come and go as they like — local citizens say they’re terrified, especially when the men are drunk.

No, the wall is designed to stop the public from seeing what’s going on inside. When we peered under the fence one of the migrants threw a rock at us.

The government won’t build a wall to keep out foreigners. But they’ll build a wall to keep out Irish citizens (and Canadian reporters!)

Irish police — the Garda — sent police cars three times to drive by me to see what I was doing. I tried to stop them to ask them questions, but when they saw my camera, they sped away. Weird.
