@indiscripts @loicaigon @justinputney appendChild(x) makes sure x is an XML element it always creates a child. When x != XML a new element with the same name as the last element in the original XML will be added and x will be placed inside of that. Enclose x inside root and you have power and responsibility.

@indiscripts I believe this is controlled by the "whitespace-handling" processing instruction. Haven’t tried it but you can always replace the spaces with
