Deeply saddened and shocked by the passing of K. Bhagyaraj sir.
It feels especially unreal because I had the opportunity to meet him recently at Khushbu’s daughter’s wedding and spend some time with him.
Bhagyaraj sir was a creative genius whose contributions to Indian cinema go far beyond what many people know. He was the original creator behind stories that went on to become landmark Hindi films and career-defining milestones for so many of us.
Woh Saat Din, adapted from his work, became one of the most important films of my career. Mohabbat, with its story, screenplay and dialogues by Bhagyaraj sir, not only gave us a memorable film but also helped launch the journey of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria as producers through Maruti International.
Later, Beta, another adaptation of his brilliant writing, became a blockbuster and remains one of the defining films of its era. Boney and I had acquired the rights and passed them on to Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria during a difficult phase in their journey. The film went on to become a massive success, with all of us receiving tremendous recognition.
Another remarkable example of Bhagyaraj sir’s brilliance was Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Directed by David Dhawan, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, and starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra, the film’s story and screenplay were by Bhagyaraj sir and adapted into Hindi by Anees Bazmee. The film became a major success and marked another important milestone in Akshay Kumar’s career.
The seeds of all these successes were planted by Bhagyaraj sir. We adapted his stories for Hindi audiences, but the true creator was always him. His writing touched countless lives and careers, mine included. He helped shape the journeys of actors, filmmakers and producers across generations, often without receiving the recognition he truly deserved.
I will always remain grateful for what he contributed to my career and to Indian cinema as a whole. His legacy will live on through the stories he created and the countless people he inspired.
My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. He will be deeply missed.
Rest in peace, Bhagyaraj sir. 🙏
Vaibhav, at 15, will play for India and earning crores, while you, at 15 are just a clout chaser.
As everyone has pointed out, Shafali Verma made her debut at 15 in 2019. So at least get your facts straight before crying about it. Ohh sorry but you might not know meaning of “facts”.
Happy birthday @sachin_rt.
If there is ever any complaint against him, it could only be from the Health Ministry, given the number of aunts, uncles, parents and grandparents who suddenly fell ill the day he was supposed to bat.
In the early pre mobile internet days, the best boost to work productivity was a television in the office.

Who is Jasprit Bumrah? To the blind, he is the light. To the hungry, he is bread. To the sick, he is the cure. To the lonely, he is company. To the sad, he is joy. To the prisoner, he is freedom. For the poor, he is a treasure. For me, he is everything.
Gowri did an amazing job. The moment you call out a disrespectful and an unnecessary question - a whole lot of shouting down happens.
So proud that someone so young stood her ground and pushed back.
No male actor gets asked what his weight is. No idea why they asked a female actor 🤷🏻♀️

Champions of the World 💙🇮🇳
I’ve seen this dream for over two decades, to watch the Indian women lift that World Cup trophy.
Tonight, that dream finally came true.
From the heartbreak of 2005 to the fight of 2017, every tear, every sacrifice, every young girl who picked up a bat believing we belong here, it all led to this moment.
To the new champions of world cricket, you didn’t just win a trophy, you won every heart that ever beat for Indian women’s cricket. Jai Hind 🇮🇳
It's absurd, even just from the selfish perspective of their own liability, that the ICC don't make it mandatory for helmets to be worn by all batters at all times in their events.
Two lives. One day. Vastly different journeys.
