@melissa_schober @SSKedreporter To me, the issue is not the salary itself, which I agree can be seen in a competitive range, but that it took Jackson 4 years, and a lot of public scrutiny to get to 300k, then a man gets the job and it shoots up another 40k.
As the inequity between the men’s and women’s NCAA tournament is exposed, I would like to add to the list - why can I stream all men’s games from the same platform for free but I had to subscribe to the middle tier Sling package w/ the sports add-on to watch all women’s games?
We can’t keep saying men’s sports get better stuff because they bring in more money when we don’t provide the same opportunities for accessibility to women’s sports that allows them to grow their fan base and bring in more $.
@kimberlyfreyco1@Fatima_Cooke@SSKedreporter Before the increase NY and LA made about 100k more - that's more than slightly. If you look at the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th largest districts, they all make around 350k. Jackson's 260k salary was well below comparable districts and arguably still is.
@senatemajldr 😮😮😮 Says the guy refusing to respect the results of the election and the transition of power. If nothing else, can the Republican Party just stop being so damn hypocritical.
Check out this ingenious use of @Desmos to clearly communicate the @ChiPubSchools updated grading policy for semester 2.
hat-tip to Robin Lam of @GWHS_Patriots for building it for her students!
