TikTok could’ve avoided going dark by simply selling its US platform
The fact that it’d rather go dark than sell to a US buyer means it is controlled by the Chinese government. No free enterprise would willingly shut off access to 170 million users
Here’s a map showing Chinese-owned farmland conveniently located near 19 U.S. military bases.
But yes, please tell me more about how banning TikTok is because we have a government deeply committed to protecting our national security.
TikTok going away is my personal Super Bowl. I don’t dig my heels into political beliefs often (I’m generally objective and open minded) but I’ve hated TikTok since day one.
I don’t understand this shit at all. You knew for years TikTok was on the chopping block, and you decided to rely your income solely on it? No sympathy from me. You can just as easily use any other app or any other shopping store like Etsy. Gtfo with the “woe is me” bullshit.
@bigcontentguy He looks like every dude who graduated high school three years ago (barely) but still hangs with high school girls because he has a shitty crotch rocket and buys them cigarettes
@jai_glo Same dude. He can do some actual good shit IMO like getting rid of different gender and age standards for PT (especially for combat MOS) and ensure training and funds for it are a higher priority, etc.
But I fear he’ll get too caught up in fighting “woke” and going after women.
Hegseth has an opportunity to make some real, tangible changes in the military. Things that get us back to being a warfighter’s organization.
But I’m terrified we’re going to get hung up on fighting “woke” nonsense rather than improving the military for the sake of improvement.
