“There were 100s of 1000s of counterfeit Twitter accounts set up by Russian propaganda and disinformation [actors]?”
“Those accounts are still active on social media today. This is an ongoing campaign.” — Yoel Roth, former head of Trust & Safety at Twitter

LOL, yet another walk back, because the "genius" hadn't thought there'd be uses of the API even he approves.
But what's "good bots" mean? He will decide this based on his personal prefs and moods, mostly on a whim (and maybe revise it later), and Nazi bots are very welcome.

@J_EMO_T@ItsMrTruth @TwitterDev That's as stupid a take as "Web servers are full of child porn!"
Mastodon is free software, which everybody can use, but servers not taking actions against problematic users are de-federated. It's very a efficient system. I have never seen any child porn. (I have on Twitter.)
@conspirator0@ZellaQuixote I guess that's it, then, for your wonderful service? Not that I used it much in recent weeks/months, I have almost completely switched to Mastodon and only look here very occasionally.
Anyway, thank you very much for your this!

@pati_gallardo@_Yulivee_@ninkibah@turtlesec_no That's cold compared to Berlin, where we usually have +5C during winter. Usually with a drizzle, admittedly, which makes this mean. But not as cold as below zero.
@BrownguyinUS1 Yes, they know so much more about privacy where you live, which is *squints at graph* a couple hours east of UTC. — Oh, wait a minute! Why do you say you're based in the US? That's an obvious lie and the rest of your bio likely is probably just as fictional.
Bye, paid troll.
@smurthys@hankadusikova@bjorn_fahller @AaronBallman @PeterSommerlad @mattgodbolt @dascandy42 @ericniebler@Cor3ntin@tvaneerd@lefticus There is no "the Mastodon client". There's an official one, and there's a bunch of others. (And did I mention that the latter cannot be broken, as the protocol underlying the fediverse is public?) For example, on Android I use Tusky, but you might like others more.
@migueldeicaza @TwitterDev Wrong. It's just as bad, it only seems a bit less shitty since he didn't say it himself. (Yes, he's even worse at communicating, but at this point only slightly so.)
To clarify, this is not to achieve some effect or build pressure on the organizers to uninvite the person. Its about ACCU having lost my trust by consciously deciding to invite someone who had shown that they're not safe to be around.
