The Indian middle class is completely delusional about inflation. You bought a ₹1 Crore cover five years ago and proudly patted yourself on the back, thinking you secured their future.

Today, ₹1 Crore cannot even buy a cramped 2BHK in a decent metro pin code.

What exactly do you think that money is going to be worth in 25 years when your kids actually need it to survive? By the time your spouse tries to live off it, that ₹1 Crore will have the purchasing power of today's ₹15 Lakhs. You are leaving them a rounding error, rather than a safety net.

You will gladly pay a ₹50k monthly EMI for a SUV. But you refuse to pay ₹30,000 a year to guarantee your family doesn’t end up bankrupt if your heart suddenly stops.

Stop calling yourself a provider if your family’s financial survival strictly depends on you outliving your corporate stress.

If you have dependents, a ₹5 Crore term plan is no longer a luxury. It is the absolute bare minimum mathematical requirement to outpace inflation.
