Indian national Mr. Manish Dwivedi (Passport No. S1342617), a seafarer serving as Second Officer onboard vessel “SIFNOS LADY”, has been missing in the USA since the evening of 06 May 2026 after reaching Marcus Hook Port, Philadelphia.
The family has received conflicting and unverified information regarding his alleged detention and release in Delaware. His phone has been unreachable since 07 May 2026, and no official confirmation of his whereabouts has been provided till now.
We fear for his safety and urgently request immediate intervention from @DrSJaishankar @MEAIndia @IndianEmbassyUS @CGI_NY @PMOIndia @PhillyPolice @delwarepolice @MEAIndia @PIBHomeAffairs @IndianEmbassyUS @CGI_NY @KVSinghMPGonda @KVSinghOffice and US authorities to help trace and protect an Indian citizen abroad.

I find non Seafarers in Crewing offices handle Seafarers better. Many Captains in office r busy telling Seafarers how 2 behave whereas Non Seafarers background Managers listen to Seafarers and solve the issues with genuine efforts. Less Captains in RPSL, less politics in office.

Everyday I get information that due to MMD online booking system failure ,poor seafarers are getting penalized. I took up one such case with MMD. I feel there's no clear Exam Booking process for those who fail exams. I fact such candidates r treated like Criminals.
