@MikScarlet@disabilityarts The podcast is definitely worth a listen as it’s so much more than this quote and explicitly talks about building on the social model.

Access to Work is vital to a barrier-free workplace. Planned changes will destroy disabled peoples chances of getting/staying in work. It will roll back progress we've made in the culture sector to increase representation. Please sign this open letter. https://t.co/mbHP3fkEBz
Head over to Instagram for an incredibly articulate request from Tom Ryalls about signing the open letter we’ve collaborated on regarding Access to Work. Please sign the letter here:

To everyone losing their shit about #Motability, it's a car leasing scheme. No one gets a free car. We borrow it, with a weekly payment of £75 with a nonrefundable deposit which can be £1000s.
The cars go back to Motability after 3 years & they sell them 2nd hand.
Investigate how the #AccessToWork scheme is operating. This review should ensure the scheme offers fair and timely support for all disabled people seeking employment. #CutsHaveConsequences

I’m quoted in this re workforce! Been looking into the data more since. Interesting stats on DYCP & NLPG grants for individuals - disabled artists doing much better on DYCP than project grants. Drill down into the power BI and you see how tough it really is to get funded.

Opinion | Children in Need was always humiliating for disabled children – and it still is
I want better for my kids’ generation, and for the generations that come after them

@RachelCDailey Just tagging @disabilityarts into this as we are also researching the best options for our disabled writers and bloggers to have a platform for discussion that’s not in the public comments forum.
And amongst it all, @GeraintThomas86 still found time to help an old friend 🤗🥲
A colossal lead-out in Rome, rolling back the years, as @MarkCavendish took the victory. Beautiful 🇬🇧 #Giro
