"Strength of character consists of two things—power of will and power of self-control. Many youth mistake strong, uncontrolled passion for strength of character; but the truth is that he who is mastered by his passions is a weak man. "
"The real greatness and nobility of the man is measured by the power of the feelings that he subdues, not by the power of the feelings that subdue him. The strongest man is he, who, while sensitive to abuse, will yet restrain passion and forgive his enemies."
"No man can be said to be making a living, who has no hope of eternal life. He really has no life for real life never ends; ...
He that has the Son has life, and he that has not the Son of God has not life. " - The everlasting covenant, E.J Waggoner.
@Lawrenc88520656@BWGovernment At a superficial level it looks like this kind of unity brings power and this where many get fooled. Sovereignty is being eaten away and there is cost to be paid later. It is no part of Christ’s mission to compel men to receive Him. It is Satan, and men actuated by his spirit, that seek to compel the conscience. … but Christ is ever showing mercy, ever seeking to win by the revealing of His love.
"God never leads His children otherwise than they would choose to be led, if they could see the end from the beginning and discern the glory of the purpose which they are fulfilling as co-workers with Him."

"Too many, in planning for a brilliant future, make an utter failure. Let God plan for you. As a little child, trust to the guidance of Him who will “keep the feet of His saints.” 1 Samuel 2:9."
“Every one should consider the solemn question, What is my life toward God and my fellow men? No man lives unto himself. No life is simply neutral in its results.
...
What is your life? You must meet and answer that question sometime.”
—“The Faith I Live By.”
