After Roxie the baby red panda sadly died last bonfire night, very likely due to stress from fireworks, @Edinburgh_CC have created a fireworks exclusion zone around the zoo!

Firework exclusion zones are an important step to protect animals in zoos, pets, livestock and wildlife. Thank you to everyone who responded to the consultation 💛

While this is a good step forward, we are also supporting calls from animal welfare charities to ban the sale of fireworks to the public, with only drone or light displays used at organised events.
