Last night, at around 2 a.m., Russia reportedly used the “Oreshnik” IRBM for the third time against Ukraine — allegedly targeting the city of Bila Tserkva. The exact impact location remains unknown.
*️⃣ The video appears to show 6 payload sections carrying 6 submunitions each, for a total of 36 elements. Reports claim the payloads contained no explosive material, as they were originally designed for nuclear warheads.
*️⃣ The previous two reported uses of the “Oreshnik” were: — on Nov. 21, 2024, against an industrial facility in Dnipro; — on Jan. 8, 2026, against the “LDARZ” facility in Lviv.
When you plead guilty as part of a plea deal, the judge asks you a series of questions to make sure the plea is fully voluntary, truly understood, and actually true. One question is ‘are you pleading guilty because you are in fact guilty?’ And Michael Flynn pleaded guilty…
In a rare joint performance of "People Have the Power," Patti Smith was joined by Bruce Springsteen, Michael Stipe and others at Democracy Now!'s 30th anniversary celebration.
Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych says he will wear his helmet of remembrance on race days despite the International Olympic Committee banning him from doing so.
Heraskevych wore the helmet, which features images of athletes killed during Russia's invasion of his home country, during a training session on Wednesday after being told it was not allowed.
Sport shouldn’t mean amnesia, and the Olympic movement should help stop wars, not play into the hands of aggressors. Unfortunately, the decision of the International Olympic Committee to disqualify Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych says otherwise. This is certainly not about the principles of Olympism, which are founded on fairness and the support of peace.
I thank our athlete for his clear stance. His helmet, bearing the portraits of fallen Ukrainian athletes, is about honour and remembrance. It is a reminder to the whole world of what Russian aggression is and the cost of fighting for independence. And in this, no rule has been broken.
It is Russia that constantly violates Olympic principles, using the period of the Olympic Games to wage war. In 2008, it was the war against Georgia; in 2014 – the occupation of Crimea; in 2022 – the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. And now, in 2026, despite repeated calls for a ceasefire during the Winter Olympics, Russia shows complete disregard, increasing missile and drone strikes on our energy infrastructure and our people.
660 Ukrainian athletes and coaches have been killed by Russia since the full-scale invasion began. Hundreds of our athletes will never again be able to take part in the Olympic Games or any other international competitions. And yet, 13 Russians are currently in Italy competing at the Olympics. They compete under “neutral” flags at the Games, while in real life publicly supporting Russian aggression against Ukraine and the occupation of our territories. And they are the ones who deserve disqualification.
We are proud of Vladyslav and of what he did. Having courage is worth more than any medal.
I asked the FBI: When was the job created? What are the exact job responsibilities?
Its response? "We don’t have anything additional to provide at this time."
What has unfolded in Minneapolis this past month betrays our most basic values as Americans. We are not a nation that guns down our citizens in the street. We are not a nation that allows our citizens to be brutalized for exercising their constitutional rights. We are not a nation that tramples the 4th Amendment and tolerates our neighbors being terrorized. The people of Minnesota have stood strong — helping community members in unimaginable circumstances, speaking out against injustice when they see it, and holding our government accountable to the people. Minnesotans have reminded us all what it is to be American, and they have suffered enough at the hands of this Administration. Violence and terror have no place in the United States of America, especially when it’s our own government targeting American citizens.
No single person can destroy what America stands for and believes in, not even a President, if we — all of America — stand up and speak out. We know who we are. It's time to show the world. More importantly, it's time to show ourselves.
Now, justice requires full, fair, and transparent investigations into the deaths of the two Americans who lost their lives in the city they called home. Jill and I are sending strength to the families and communities who love Alex Pretti and Renee Good as we all mourn their senseless deaths.
These idiots spent 3 days calling him an assassin, a domestic terrorist, and blaming him for “pointing a gun at cops”
DHS account (and the video we all fucking watched) makes it clear that he never even attempted to reach for his gun.
His family should sue a bunch of people.
Please give a thought to people whose New Year’s Eve was spent in bomb shelters because a criminal invader was trying to destroy their energy infrastructure.
I often said Nancy Pelosi was the best Speaker of the House in American history — it’s why I awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom. When I was President, we worked together to grow our economy, create millions of jobs, and make historic investments in our nation’s future. She has devoted much of her life to this country, and America will always be grateful. Jill and I wish Nancy and Paul all the best.
I’m an introvert.
It’s not that I don’t like people, I just value peace. I recharge in quiet, not crowds. I speak when it matters. I’m observant, not distant. I crave real connection, not constant attention. If I choose your company, it means everything.
