@DrEmmaBeckett I have a BSc (met) and my first career was as a metallurgist, some of the times in chem labs (wet chemistry and AAS) physical metallurgy labs (metallography using various microscopes incl SEM), finishing as quality control supervisor. Next -Science teacher - phys, chem, bio.

@claudiaevickers My son and his family moved from Aus to just out of Oxford a couple of years ago. We've become familiar with the area over a few visits, so thanks for the tip, we'll have to get a copy of @TwoPaddocks' book. I'm sure they will love it, too!
