A lot of NT people seem to think that the solution to this is to just get a job that lets you do remote work. You might be surprised to find out that even then autistic people are very likely to get our support needs disregarded and disrespected over and over.
ADHD folks telling you they lose jobs, miss critical appointments, struggle to be punctual even with a dozen supports and ableists are reciting every time they felt disrespected by someone with time blindness while telling them to set an alarm
"Ha, what do you mean you find [x] difficult and/or have meltdowns, how do you people hold down jobs/survive!? 🤣"
Well, you see, autistic and ADHD people actually have incredibly low levels of employment and incredibly high levels of early death (particularly suicide).
Every day there seems to be a disability debate taking shape here that devolves into some form of: disabled people are selfish, access friction is too complex to nagivate, I dont want to disclose my needs to someone else they should just meet them magically. 1/5
nothing more loser coded than being an abled person using their free time to police disabled people & try & explain their health conditions to them on the internet. you should be out enjoying your life! get help
