There was down-regulation in chick myocardial cells. Seems to be mediated by "guanine nucleotide modulated binding" effects, as well as possible decrease in mRNA associated with the receptors.

I've heard about beta-receptor up-regulation from beta-blocker therapy, but intriguingly this study showed carvedilol did not induce increased density of cardiac beta-receptors whereas metoprolol did. #cardiology#pharmacology
2019 meta-analysis comparing vasoactive medications in septic shock. Norepi+dobutamine showed the most benefit on 28-day mortality. They recommend considering adding dobutamine to NE in septic shock patients with low cardiac output. #sepsis#shock#FOAMed
