I can’t let this go unchallenged.

That young man was, in my opinion and based on the video below, the clear victim of an assault.

The video shows, for reasons that are entirely beyond my comprehension, the officer steaming directly into the victim.

The officer made no effort to prevent the attack or apprehend the men who had just administered the violence.

What I see in the video is the officer using speed and aggression at the moment of peak danger and confusion against the victim.

The victim then controls himself the moment he realises it is now a police officer attacking him and not one of the multiple men who were attacking him a fraction of a second earlier.

In my opinion Birmingham Police should drop the charges against this young man and ask the officer why she went for the victim on the ground and not the attackers!

I am having a drink this evening with a friend in a Chiswick pub. Two policemen have just come into the pub and asked me to step outside. I have stepped outside and they have threatened me because I tweeted about a councillor banning seating outside pubs in Chiswick. They admit on video (watch it!) that I did not break the law at all. They came to threaten me. To warn me off tweeting about councillors and the council. This is modern Britain. This is the police state. Please, please, please watch this video. So Putin responds to Ukraine’s successful attacks on Russian oil depots - by targeting innocent civilians in Kyiv and murdering women and children. The Russian President is going to lose his revolting war, which he never should have started. But the truth is that Western governments are doing nothing like enough to bring him to the negotiating table. Why won’t we systematically take out the shadow fleet? Why won’t we give the Ukrainians the hundreds of billions of frozen assets? And why the hell is the UK - of all countries - now buying Russian aviation fuel, even if it has been refined in third countries, under a loophole recently opened by Keir Starmer? Russian terrorists have killed at least eight civilians in Kyiv.

The primary responsibility lies with the terrorist regime in the Kremlin, which continues its genocidal campaign against Ukraine.

But responsibility does not end there.

I also blame the silent supporters and enablers of this evil.

Perhaps the most significant among them is Donald Trump.

He promised to "end the war in 24 hours," and many believed him.

Instead, he gave Putin a blank check. He invited this war criminal to the United States of America. And now his portrait hangs in the White House.

So no surprise, since Trump's return, russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine have skyrocketed.
Trump's pro-russian rhetoric, refusal to support Ukraine, and repeated praise of Putin have emboldened the Kremlin to escalate its assault.
The United States halted military aid to Ukraine.
Ukraine is now critically short of air defense systems. Civilians are dying because they cannot be adequately protected.

U.S. intelligence support was curtailed, weakening Ukraine's ability to defend itself and allowing russian forces to regain territory and advance further.
Instead of standing with Ukraine, Trump handed a lifeline to the russian economy. By removing restrictions on russian oil, billions of dollars are flowing back into the Kremlin's war machine.

That means more missiles. More drones. More dead Ukrainians.

Trump has become an enabler of russian terrorism. History will remember this.
