If you’ve not managed to check out issue 41 of @rustsports yet - it’s the weekend - kick back with a brew or beer & take a look. Better still subscribe. Great photos, features & a great read (plus my bit..) & it’s free. #AllOfTheThings#PlusAMidLifeCrisis.

@DVLAgovuk - a total of SEVEN fines this month and EVERY one is on account of being unable to contact, talk to or deliver the requisite info because…. DVLA haven’t managed to deliver V5C’s.
My fault tho apparently. 💩

@AdeForest21@ListerLawrence Exactly the same with a 530 and 330e.
Looked at a few used and the cable was unused! (A few steps lower on the co car list too)
@AdeForest21@ListerLawrence Ha - most specialists would state, with almost certainty, that this would be worth a little bit more than a five year old fiesta in five years time! 🤣
@jacobtechtavern@ListerLawrence You’ll find I could quite easily deliver inspection equipment in the boot of this.
Theres quite often some kind of staggering righteousness that is the accountant claiming ‘they’ can’t justify it. It’s for the directors, not the accountant to justify.
100% pool car use.
@Schamitz@Fleetwemser@Tedmarsgoi2 Actually the plague is bell ends that think the cyclist is at fault.
.
Bell end is English for bell end, in case you wondered.
@g04tn4d0@srkntnyldz Haha. Bless you.
Entirely comfortable with my intelligence, no ignorance, but interesting where your inner toddler goes for high ground. Over and out, freelander. #Murica
@g04tn4d0@srkntnyldz You’re stating you’d end someone’s life for damaging a car, and accepting they’ve likely got a mental illness. It’s a strong, masculine look.
Nice one Rambo. (Great ‘soy mobile’ energy there too, for a bit of polish)
@GeoffBuysCars Only if they sell it to you today.
I’ll give you 50p for your Volvo, but you’d likely lot accept. Why so angry?
We’ll assume they bought retail. Anyone doing this and selling trade shortly after would be out of pocket, and that’s bollcoks all to do with it being an EV. 🤷♂️
Wasn’t allowed to reply to the google provided response.
And what is the seal keeping in place?(the seal that apparently isn’t allowed to see a petroleum based lubricant…)
A: Petroleum based lubricants. ✅
@Two7Five@justchristwo@Rwa_serera Petroleum based solvents \ lubricants make plastics and rubber swell and then dry out. This leads to cracking or shrinkage.
@nathanemo82 *both the wiper seals and inner seals are nitrile rubber in almost all OEM and aftermarket applications. Nitrile has great hydro carbon resisting properties.
Super posh stuff will have a copolymer set up or maybe a viton based construction, but this is largely friction driven.
@nathanemo82 25 years with polymers, rubbers & hydrocarbon.
Your demands to ‘take this down’ is wildly ‘dave down the pub’.
We don’t *know* the constituents of WD, but it’s largely petrochem based.
Evidence based - a dry, nitrile fork wiper seal will abrade before WD attacks it*
@PeteSamuels5@nathanemo82 You’re correct. Pub bollocks however is rampant in ‘proper biker’ land, and opinions harder, dryer and crustier than any old, dry nitrile rubber.
