The warrior who fears death can’t fight with clarity, the artist who needs to be loved can’t make anything true, and both are freed by the identical move — fully engaging in the action while simultaneously being detached from the results of the action.
Your mind is a forest.
This is why learning new things can feel like trying to walk through thick undergrowth.
Walking a new path can feel like you have weeds and vines in your face limiting your view.
The first time you learn something - a new move in jiu jitsu, new posture, a new way of thinking, breathing- they feel like bushwhacking.
Every repetition clears a new trail.
Practicing a new skill involves specific networks of neurons activating in sequence.
Each rep strengthens the synaptic connections between them.
Just as walking a new path through dense forest can be slow and require a ton of effort as you push through the undergrowth.
by the:
100th pass its a clear trail.
1000th its a worn groove your feet find without thinking.
10,000th it is completely automatic, like a highway where you have time to look around finding space in the movement and have conversations as you do the movement.
The brain also works in reverse.
The trails we forget to go over start closing up with overgrowth.
This is why skills decay without practice and early repetitions after a long break feel like bushwhacking again.
Stay on the path.
The most important thing you do is BREATHE.
Learn to breathe better and everything you do will be better.

I used to think i didn't have the energy to work out.
We are all gifted with energy, the more you use what your are given the more your are provided from source.
Its offensive to source energy to waste it.
I teach and practice 1 class minimum per day.
Many days it's 2-3 times a day.
I chose this.
A knee injury has made me step back from working out to rest the knee.
I'm feeling it.
I thought more rest meant more energy.
It doesn't.
When we sit still our bodies assume we don't need as much energy so it maintains baseline mitochondria.
When we move more our body adapts to the increase in energy demand creating more mitochondria while making existing ones more efficient.
More mitochondria mean your body becomes better at producing ATP, raising your overall daily energy ceiling.

The world is in flames.
The Buddha said this 2,500 years ago —
Not because the world itself burns.
Because the human mind burns — with
desire,
craving,
judgment,
projection.
And nobody warned you that the modern world was specifically engineered to keep that fire raging.
Every scroll.
Every headline.
Every outrage cycle.
This is pure solar plexus stimulation.
The third energy center.
The fire center of the human psyche.
Governing identity, willpower, purpose, ego, and power.
And Carl Jung identified exactly what happens when it goes unconscious.
We demonize in others the traits we secretly carry ourselves.
We stop seeing people as human beings.
We turn them into heroes and villains.
We become addicted to conflict.
Addicted to being right.
Uncontrolled fire burns everything. Including you.
Here's what modern neuroscience confirms —
chronic emotional reactivity keeps your nervous system locked in fight or flight.
The adrenal glands flood.
The digestive system shuts down.
The body pays the price for a fire the mind refuses to regulate.
But conscious fire?
That's purpose.
That's discipline.
That's leadership.
The hot room or a hard workout exposes this chakra immediately.
The ego reacts.
The identity surfaces.
The frustration appears.
And the breath is what transforms it.
Slow it down — the fire stabilizes.
Extend the exhale — the nervous system settles.
Unconscious fire creates war and chaos.
Conscious fire creates light.
Geaux deeper.

Learn to live in continuous presence with breath.
Keep the breath continuous.
Keep the awareness continuous.
Connect breath with awareness continuously.
Learn to feel each breath throughout the entire body.
Every breath we take is a complicated chemical process that involves every cell in our bodies.
As you practice, learn to feel these major physiological processes of the body.
“Feeling is understanding” - Wim Hof
Breath is the master rhythm connecting every major system of your body:
nervous,
digestive,
endocrine,
circulatory,
genital-urinary.
muscular-skeletal,
When you learn to feel these processes new levels of awareness emerge.
The thinking mind begins to loosen its grip.
And new levels of intuition follows.
