I think the reason why elbows up Canadians hate Trump so much is because, for the first time ever, he forced them to look in the mirror and see their own weakness. For the first time in their lives they were confronted with the reality that their passports didn’t make them special and that the reality was they were dependent on the very people they looked down on for their most basic survival needs.
