@BradyHaran Hmm. I haven't played Catan in ages, but if this is secretly about ways of rolling 2d6 using alternate dice types, I may be a useful resource. (Designed Number Match 2d6, did a G4G CoM talk in 2021 on "How to Roll Two Dice" w/ Sicherman interview.) If not, never mind.
@BretDevereaux Phelps was born under Reagan though. Great national leaders make great babies. Great babies make great swimmers. Great swimmers make weak national leaders. Weak national leaders make weak babies.
@UrsulaV In my old apartment, the holes in the wall for the toilet pipes weren't properly sealed, so a couple of slugs, an earthworm, and on one memorable occasion, a small tree frog were waiting for me on the bathroom floor.
A fun thing about being the me that I am at the age that I am is thinking that many public health recommendations for me would be different if we used base 12. (Specifically thinking about shingles vaccine.)
@ItsMeTina3 @dieworkwear I'd blame the scalpers who flip collectable limited edition Lucky Charms, but you have to have some kind of hustle in this economy.
@humantransit I wonder if a bigger split was considered, taking the Terwilliger side all the way to Barbur and thence downtown. This leaves John's Landing underserved, but you could fill the gaps there with Sellwood service.
@humantransit As a sometime 35 user in West Linn, the extended 30 minute frequency is highly awesome, and the split is a bit meh. (Might actually use service to L&C and Tryon Creek park, but it's a hard sell at 1 hour frequency, and now trips on average 2 minutes longer.)
@humble@seananmcguire@EFF Having bought one of these Kobo based bundles before, I wish there was more prominent warning that if you run Linux, your most plausible way of getting your books onto your ebook device involves violating the ToS of your Adobe account and committing DMCA crimes.
@EleriTMLH@UrsulaV Filbert was a stupid marketing name in the 50's and it's not any better now. Imagine if somebody kept insisting on calling kiwi fruit Zespri; that's how the rest of us feel about Filbert stans. CANCEL ME!
@humantransit That said, the existing bridge would make some sense with a line encompassing the SW corridor and some sort of connection up the central east side to the other MAX lines.
@humantransit I don't remember very well what the options were, but I think one of them was closer to parallel with the Ross Island bridge, with about the same landing on the west side.
Even in the Poison Garden, this little guy is in isolation.
Why? Because it is one of the most venomous and dangerous plants in the world - if you touch it, the sensation is likened to being burned and electrocuted at the same time, and the effects can persist for YEARS.

@DLWilliams3 @clairewillett To answer some of them, (and possibly raise others) it's been part of the rules of a number of science fiction cons since an infamous incident at the 1972 WorldCon. https://t.co/SIEdbrdLWy
