Anyone knows of an app that would transcribe podcasts, panel videos... in a frictionless way? (e.g one single "transcribe and save to Pocket" button). There are way too many awesome 45min podcasts each week and no more public transport commute to consume all of them.
@edfryed@descript I'm looking for something more akin to a consumer tool, for someone listening (or procrastinating to listen) to a lot of podcasts; rather than making podcasts and transcribing them.
@edfryed@descript Funnily, we played with Descript at Paddle to transcribe calls, webinars, podcasts etc. back when they launched as a generalist app - before their podcast-only positioning. Interesting to see the evolution!
What a well-oiled operation. I can't get a covid home test kit because the credit score agency (!?) used by the @NHS can't find me, and am recommended to break my 2 week quarantine to do a test 4 miles away. No wonder cases are low in the UK.
Has anyone I know used @webflow at scale (not a toy website, many people updating in parallel) without a dedicated web dev? Interested in insights on what technical support it actually takes to make it work in practice.
@mattc0llier@webflow@mitchellwright Awesome! Was there any developer help needed to set it up initially, or an importance in setting up the exact right way to enjoy smooth usage afterwards? And I see you also use WordPress, was it because it was a better tool for something specific?
I've spent more time than I'd care to admit thinking about what type of person makes sure they have the "working from home" status on Slack during a *global lockdown*, and who doesn't. Surely someone, somewhere is building a predictive model.

Marketing lessons learned over more than a decade growing startups (thread):
Great marketing emanates from a great product. If the product sucks no amount of world class marketing can redeem it. Marketing can help make a good product great––it will never make a bad product good.
Really excited to be part of the journey - there's nothing more rewarding that making an actual impact on people's lives, and realising, story after story, that it's actually for real.

Going through 10 years of my @Spotify history via their wonderful "2019 wrapped" has made me realise that they're, by far, my favourite product of the decade. At the tune of 21 days spent on it each year, I'd almost apologize I didn't go premium until 2011.
Ah, the good old Prince Andrew comms technique: when the only way to try and fix a bad thing is to give as much exposure to it as possible, and hope that doesn't increase doubts
