Outdoor photographer with a unique story. Struck by a life changing illness I discovered photography. Thankful my focus and passion soon improved body and mind.
There was a beautiful cloud inversion at Haytor the other morning. Whilst taking some photos with my camera I also set up my iPhone to capture a short timelapse movie as the sun rose above the mist.

Snowdrops at Sunrise
The early morning golden light on the moorland hills made an attractive background for close up photography. The deliberate dreamy effect was created with a shallow depth and precision positioning of the camera.

Greater or Common Whitethroat Singing 🎶☀️
It’s a wonderful little bird with an attitude.. Its distinctive song is scratchy and jerky giving the impression of being annoyed often singing from an obvious perch. Accompanied by many Eurasian Skylarks, a Linnet and Sedge Warbler.
Heath Fritillary, Luckett, Cornwall.
There were many mating pairs last Sunday but the highlight was an aberration which kept returning to the same bramble blossom.
What a stroke of luck coming across this juvenile Kingfisher
on a walk-about with the camera.
I sneaked up extremely slowly and quietly operating my camera above my head.
It’s been years since I photographed Kingfishers so a complete surprise. You’ve gotta get out there! 🍀😎
@BuxtonBirder@savebutterflies @ukbutterflies @BCDevon@ForestryComm Sounds amazing Tim especially the White Admirals sightings.
Is there a good place to park to get to the plantation please. I’ve never been. I assume it’s off the Stover roundabout.
Thanks, Chris
