Our first birding day in Algeria and we couldn’t have asked for a better start. Really good views of at least eleven Algerian Nuthatch at Bouafroun Forest, near Djmila. A supporting cast of Maghreb Owl, Levaillant’s and Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers and all the good Algerian subsp.

After dipping Sociable Lapwing in Kuwait during December, I couldn’t resist twitching this bird in Cornwall today with @1squidge. Amazing to finally catch up with this critically endangered wader! 💪🏻 Great to catch up with some top lads too @01000011S @knotsbirder @DeansMatthew
