@formerdecentIS Some of them were fleeing an abusive partner and were have suicidal ideation while having drug addicted and alcoholic men bang on their doors demanding to be let in. These stories, unfortunately for me, are old news (But my feelings don't matter)...

@formerdecentIS I have spoken to several women in the last eight years who came to a food bank I support and volunteer for in Govanhill and they have been brave enough to speak with me about how humiliating it is to be stuck in a place like that, i.e. Queen's Park Hotel...

@MMortemm I haven't had one but several relatives and friends have. It isn't painful and it doesn't take long. It's really more scary than it sounds. I hope this puts your mind at ease... (Although I'm in the UK, so it's a free procedure on the NHS.)
