Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) is a very common thing to see and discuss. Never in my life have I seen a company talk about Earnings Before Cost Of Sales. Mainly because that isn’t actually a thing that exists.
Here's the Rams travel schedule for their game against the 49ers in Australia.
• Practice this morning
• Leave for Melbourne tonight
• Wednesday is a lost day traveling
• Land in Melbourne Thursday morning
• Play at 10:35 am local time on Friday
• Fly back to the US immediately after
• Land in Los Angeles midday Friday
That means the Rams will spend more than 30 hours on an airplane, travel over 15,000 miles, cross 7 time zones, and play a football game, yet technically be back in Los Angeles less than 72 hours after leaving.
8 years already. You’ve done so much for everyone as individuals, but even more for the world as a whole. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Grocery stores as a metaphor for capitalism:
- enough food for everybody but excess is thrown away rather than given to the hungry
- illusion of choice yet all the different brands are owned by a few holding companies
- exploitation of the third world to provide cheap inventory
