Watching telly on a Friday night. As you do. When an ad for #HYBPA appears. And I realise. The reason I like it so much is, I just want to hang out at the pub with the entire cast. Thanks for the giggles. 🙏🏻
It’s 11:30pm at Brisbane airport and a lot of weary travellers are waiting for taxis. Is this standard now? (Also, if I get shafted with a mini van I’ll be pissed)
@CommBank has frozen our bank account pending confirmation of owner IDs. I located all the docs I need and fronted up to a branch but staff are “too busy” to look at them. Wondering what to tell the staff when we can’t pay them.
@janr572 Also - 'brand building media', 'career shaping media', 'popularity contest media'. Whatever. There are still a few gem accounts (like yours). People being raw and self-effacing. Funny without sinking a boot. Pictures of sunsets and dogs. I keep dropping by hoping to discover more
But I think they missed the point of the doctor/wife dichotomy. One is not necessarily better informed nor more capable of public discourse than the other. All labels - professional or otherwise - are a blunt instrument for human connection.

Tonight I was the doctor’s wife in a room full of doctors, who congratulated Australia for now producing more of the latter than the former. Still on a high after #ausvotes this panel hummed with cautious optimism, exploring race, gender, environment and class. (1/2)
The Professor is in the US for a conference. Tells me his lecture was well received. The real highlight, however, was being asked for ID at a bar. He’ll be dining out on that for months.
In stark contrast to that last Tweet, I’ve finally removed six pairs of jeans from my wardrobe and bagged them for donation. There’s no doubting my vintage.
