@MattWalshBlog I think it's just an early step in the path to demanding permanent, ongoing reparations. We Australians are being groomed into just accepting that us white people have something to feel guilty about.
With all due respect Norman, it doesn't seem like the police did act appropriately. If they would release the body cam footage, this would clear things up immensely.
But without the footage, it seems like their response was very poor.
If someone is alleging that they've been stabbed, I'd expect the police to ask "Where have you been stabbed?", take a look at the wound (if indeed there is one) and determine if this person's life is in danger. This is actually the behavior I'd expect from even just some random citizen, let alone police officers.
Instead, it's alleged they handcuff him, dragged him through the gravel and searched through his phone and his father's phone looking for racist content while he bleeds out.
And now the claim is it didn't really matter that the police didn't offer any comfort or assistance while he was concious as it wouldn't have stopped him from dying anyway. Sorry, but that's an awful thing to say.
At a minimum this seems like a severe lack of judgement on the police officers' part.
