The Somali nomad, Syrian family, the Japanese businesswoman, the Wayana people of Suriname, Hazara teenage girl. All the people. Jesus died for the sins of us all. None is excluded save those who will not receive.
Salvation for all people.
The Wayana and Trio people’s heart for nearby tribes is what led them to radi and TWR. Working with the tribes, we have plans for a transmitter and station in one Wayana village and one Trio village.
Join us as we pray for the tribes and their missionary movement in Suriname.
An early evangelism experience with an unreached tribe lit a fire in the Wayana and Trio to reach others nearby. They also are concerned that discipleship continue for members of their own people as they move farther out to fruitful places in the jungle. (follow for Part 2)
Nuwahe was a young Wayana leader in the 1960s when he met the Schoen family. He helped them learn the Wayana language, and they began translating the Bible together. It was finally completed in 2021.
“It is beautiful,” Nuwahe said, weeping. “God is good. God is so good.”

Tom Schoen was 2 when his family moved to the jungles of Suriname. They traveled to the Wayana, an unreached tribe that his parents sought to introduce to Christ.
By God’s grace, many Wayana people, as well as the Trio tribe, came to faith. But that was only the beginning ...
“I try to listen to the stories of the teachers that I hear on the radio and feel deeply. I don’t know what I’m going to do now, but radio is my source of comfort. I definitely want to go to a church one day.” — a listener in Japan
#sharethegospel#mediamissions
Earlier this year, TWR Japan celebrated 10 years of speaking hope to the Japanese people on FM radio.
Join us as we thank God for our ministry groups across Japan, and ask that he would speak hope through our radio programs to these beloved people!
The world’s second-largest unreached people group, less than 1 in 200 Japanese people are saved.
Though numbers are few, believers represent God’s interest and his continued provision for them. God hasn’t given up pursuing the Japanese — and neither should we.

The baby in a feeding trough, the unjustly condemned criminal hanging on a cross, the mighty King on his throne.
This is a King who will wipe every tear, who will end mourning and crying and pain and even death. This King came to make all things new. And he came for all people.
“For the past six years I have been living in darkness, outside God’s will. But this year ... the Lord helped me through your programs. Now I know the Lord. Please, I need your prayers and a Holy Bible.” — a listener from Nigeria
#sharethegospel#evangelism
In a land where many believers face persecution, TWR has broadcast Christ’s hope to Hausa-speaking people for years.
Today, we lift those involved in TWR’s ministries in Nigeria, as well as local churches that have increasingly come under attack.
#mediamissions#advent
The intensity of the persecution of Christians in northern Nigeria increases daily. As a result, millions of Hausa people have not been reached with the gospel.
Join us as we pray for protection for believers, and that their persecutors’ hearts would be touched by the gospel.
“Through your episode, I believe that something touched my heart and soul. I’m having different feelings now of peace and trust that the Lord can handle our pain and hurt. His will is above any situation and evil. I surrender to Jesus.” — a listener of Hope for Syria
#advent2023
Our team in Syria balances spiritual themes with medical and psychological guidance in a nation devastated by war and recent earthquakes.
Help us pray for the Syrian people, for the youth and the hurting. May God speak into their spirit with his unconditional love.
#missions
Only one-tenth of Syrians identify as Christian and ministry in Syria is challenging. TWR’s Arabic team is helping Syrians find refuge in the Prince of Peace, the only source of true freedom. Join us as we lift the Syrian people up in prayer!

The message Isaiah foretold wasn’t just for the Jews. It’s for all the peoples in all the earth.
Doesn’t this make you want to shout and sing? Perhaps you’d like to write the words to your own song of praise. Would you share it with us? You can send it by email to [email protected].
“There aren’t many programs like this, particularly in Sundanese. It has also been instrumental in nurturing my congregation, enabling them to better grasp God’s Word [and] to develop a deeper understanding of our Savior.” — a Sundanese listener
#greatcommission#advent
The Sundanese are the largest unreached people group in Indonesia. Christians comprise less than 1% of their population.
Ministry among the Sundanese may be arduous, but not impossible. Join us as we thank God for the bold courage of believers among the Sudanese.
“A friend... invited me to listen to a radio program. [It spoke] of the importance of love, how much God loves this world, and about his Son’s sacrifice. I cried because that radio program touched me so deeply. I feel that God is changing me.” — a listener of Treasures of Wisdom
