@DrGJackBrown Short version, on about the 6th charge she didn't stop at 15ish feet and I hit the trigger on the bear spray. Stream hit her directly in the face almost instantly. She retreated again but this time went off the trail into brush. We were at bottom of trail in 20 minutes!

@DrGJackBrown and charges down hill at us. I get out bear spray in the 3 seconds it takes her to close in on us, but she hits the brakes about 15-20 feet short. She retreats to cubs, immediately turns and charges again. We had only backtracked about 3 steps......
