$ALT Here is my high conviction long term thesis that Altimmune will outperform. This is one of the most deep value biotech stocks I have ever seen after much research and due diligence. Pemvidutide is a success in obesity and NASH. Pemvidutide is completely misunderstood.
Altimmune’s pemvidutide showed “class-leading signals” in non-invasive assessments and has “potentially best-in-class tolerability,” according to analysts at H.C. Wainwright.

I am still long $ALT
Having said that;
The stock has been all over the map. Currently trading around $4.94, with a 52-week high of $11.16 and a low of $3.55.
The company is unprofitable, reporting a net loss of $88.4 million in 2023
On a clinical level it has been advancing its lead candidate pemvidutide into late-stage trials.
On the street the average price target is $22.29
Ceo seems to be a good clinician but at this point there has to be a 50,000 foot up view for the company I would assume the majors in the pharmaceutical world and in the Biotech world are looking for assets to expand their pipelines with tremendous upside potential.
Time to leave the lab and dust off the contact list of deep pocketed companies. I’d start with these 😎.

Eli Lilly and Altimmune targeting obesity GLP-1 drugs for alcohol use disorder is a major signal. Altimmune’s valuation is attractive. Remember, their CBO Raymond Jordt is an ex-Lilly exec. $ALT $LLY

Today we hosted our virtual R&D Day where we shared updates and future development plans for #pemvidutide, our GLP-1/glucagon dual receptor agonist for #MASH as well as AUD and ALD.

Altimmune to test obesity drug for alcohol use disorder and related health conditions. Insider buying from the CFO. Management should be aggressively accumulating shares at the current valuation. $ALT

This is a cutthroat industry and Altimmune must advance its trials. They capitalize by raising at higher prices in tranches, maintaining leverage, and strengthening negotiations. With optionality to advance trials independently, they pressure large pharma to act. M&A deal signed.
Here’s how Altimmune could pull this off. Two new INDs for Pemvidutide on March 13. Positive Phase 2 MASH data in Q2 signals best-in-class efficacy, driving market confidence. Stock appreciates as short positioning unwinds, generating momentum and forcing a rapid repricing. $ALT
Dr. Harris retires in 2026, Garg should follow. Leadership must evolve, and Jordt, with his executive experience at Eli Lilly, is the right leader to take over. Where are the activists? Time to step up.
Altimmune holds one of the most undervalued assets in obesity and MASH, yet the market gives it zero respect. Two new INDs will be announced in two weeks, both cleared by the FDA. Trading under $500M is a disgrace and well below intrinsic value. This is a prime M&A target. $ALT
The earnings call had not one question regarding partnerships or anything directed at Jordt. Analysts should have pressed this. Shareholders deserve transparency. I’m sure they’ve been approached. Did management or the board turn down deals?
Strong board additions. A strategic partnership seems likely. MASH readout is key. Late-stage trials mean they need funding. Doubt management makes this move without a deal close. Market severely mispricing this at $420M. Jordt needs to be on the earnings call tomorrow. $ALT
Today, we announced the appointments of Jerry Durso and Teri Lawver to our Board of Directors. Their diverse backgrounds and multi-disciplinary expertise will help further the execution of our strategic vision as we bring pemvidutide to patients in need: https://t.co/unvlbTGIgP.
@AConfidenceGame I haven’t seen data showing a 42% discontinuation rate. They didn’t use dose reduction or titration, which contributed to higher numbers in earlier trials. The FDA’s green light for Phase 3 of Pemvidutide speaks for itself, confirming the safety profile has been addressed.
Altimmune is sitting on a goldmine for obesity and MASH, but execution is key. Pemvidutide has the data, the market, and the potential. Leadership needs to act. If Jordt steps up, it’s game on. In this game, you either perform or get eliminated. $ALT
