On December 16, 2024, Mark released the hip hop track "Fraktsiya" ("spy"), featuring Lee Young-ji. Mark's debut studio album, 'The Firstfruit', was released on April 7, 2025, featuring the lead single titled "1999"! It debuted at #1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart after reaching #1 in almost 20 countries! After 10 years with SM Entertainment, Mark did not renew his contract. In early June 2026 he launched his own independent creative company/label, Upper Room, where he serves as co-representative/CEO. It focuses on music, video, visual art, and performance. On June 5, 2026, Mark performed at the UN Environment Programme’s World Environment Day event in Baku, Azerbaijan. He debuted the self-written acoustic track “Ready or Not”, inspired by a trip to Kenya’s Maasai Mara and themes of personal growth. This marked his first public solo stage under Upper Room. On July 8, 2026, he opened an official Weverse channel under his full name Mark Lee for closer fan communication and content. There have been rumors of potential U.S. activity and links to Def Jam.

Mark has won several accolades as a Solo Artist including the 2022 Asian Pop Music Award for Top 20 Song of the Year (Overseas) for “Child”. He won 3 major awards for his 2025 album 'The Firstfruit' including 'Album of the Year' at the Jupiter Music Awards, Best Music 10 at the Korea Grand Music Awards and Top 20 Album of the Year at the Asian Pop Music Awards along with a triple-crown of music show wins for the title track “1999” on Show Champion, Music Bank, and Show! Music Core! He has also shared dozens of group awards with NCT 127, NCT Dream, and SuperM!

Mark is also a Fashion Icon and became the Korean ambassador for Polo Ralph Lauren in 2022! In February 2025, Mark became the ambassador of cosmetics brand Espoir. In March, 2025, French high jewelry maison Boucheron welcomed Mark as a Friend of the Maison, and in April 2025, Mark was announced as a brand ambassador of Tim Hortons Korea and in October 2025, he became a brand model for COSRX.

Mark is also an active philanthropist, and a member of the Hope Bridge Honors Club for major donors of ₩100 million+. He is often described as a quiet, ongoing philanthropist who prefers not to publicize every contribution. In February 2023, he donated ₩150 million to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to help victims of the 2023 Turkey–Syria earthquake, and ₩10 million to the Community Chest of Korea along with Genie Music! In March 2025, Mark generously donated ₩100 million to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association towards the recovery of areas affected by the wildfires in the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions! In April 2025, Mark donated another ₩100 million around the release of his solo album 'The Firstfruit' to expand Hope Bridge’s “By Your Side, Us” project which supports emotional and social programs for children in protective care facilities.
