Thank you @abrahamgeorge for your service to @TexasGOP
Party chair is the most thankless job in politics, when things go right everyone else takes the credit. When things go wrong, you get all the blame.
But when the party’s future was on the line, Abraham showed true courage and leadership despite immense pressure and attacks. I’ll always remember that.
Congratulations to @DrindaRandall -let’s kick freak show ass this November.
@deborahkelting@rdgarcia03@abrahamgeorge@DrindaRandall I agree, Deborah. Anyone running for SREC needs the list, if nothing else, to introduce themselves to THEIR delegates who will be voting!
Honestly, there was not enough time for the delegation to vote on the important things, like Rules, at the '24 convention. Time mgmt...
@rdgarcia03@cindySiegel5 So true, Rolando! This is NOT the time to change leadership! She's in it for the long haul...and so are we!
Vote Cindy Siegel for Harris County Republican Party Chair...2 1/2 days of EV and ED is March 3rd!
ALERT: Sharia Patrols Arrive in Houston...
Imam Threatens Boycotts of Muslim Businesses
Masjid At-Tawhid in Houston, a tax-exempt Nation of Islam mosque, is escalating beyond preaching.
The mosque proudly flies the Palestinian flag outside its building and maintains a private security force in uniforms resembling Houston police officers.
Its Imam, F. Qasim ibn Ali Khan—recognizable by his dyed red-orange beard—has launched a campaign to pressure Muslim-owned stores into following Sharia.
Why it matters: In Islam, dyeing the beard is rooted in hadith instructing Muslims to distinguish themselves from non-believers. T
Today, the henna-red beard is widely seen as a marker of strict Sharia adherence, adopted by hardline preachers and militant figures.
In a video, Khan warns store managers that if they sell pork, alcohol, or lottery tickets, they will face boycotts and public demonstrations. “Toward the end of this month, we’re kicking off a national protest… against all Muslim businesses that have haram in their stores,” he declares.
This is the classic playbook of Sharia “patrols”: first bringing Muslims into line, then extending pressure to the wider community. Khan states plainly: “We should love what Allah loves, and hate what Allah hates.”
In Islamic texts, that goes beyond products - it targets people.
Europe has already lived through this. Shops were threatened, women harassed, and neighborhoods turned into Sharia-enforced zones.
Now, the same tactics are emerging in Houston - openly, on camera, and under the protection of tax-exempt status.
💥 This is how parallel societies form.
💥 This is how Sharia zones take root.
💥 This is how freedom erodes.
Where are Texas leaders? What starts in Houston won’t stay in Houston.
@HortonHearsTx So sorry for your loss, Rachel. May God be with you and your family during this difficult time. Only God and time will heal the hole left in your heart. 🙏🙏
Thanks for reading.

Rep. Patterson—The READER Act is failing, and you know it.
The Fifth Circuit has blocked Chapter 35 of the READER Act, which covers vendor ratings—but it already upheld the content standards. That means the core of the law remains intact—and yet, it’s not working.
The failure is not just because of litigation. As the Lovejoy ISD case has shown, the law’s definitions are flawed. Even the Texas Education Agency’s own Administrative Law Judge determined the terms “pervasively vulgar” and “educationally unsuitable” are overly broad and unenforceable as written.
That’s not something the courts will fix. That requires legislative action—this session.
SB 13 by @AngelaPaxtonTX and HB 4198 by @KeresaForTexas would correct these issues. But rather than championing these solutions, we know that you have been actively working against them.
The question is simple: Are you going to stand in the way of protecting Texas children from explicit content in school libraries—or put your pride aside and fix the law you helped pass?
Texas kids shouldn’t have to wait.

@MQSullivan@Burrows4TX There is no way @Burrows4TX has acted as a conservative to protect and put forward Conservative values in this session! He started off on the wrong foot and is STILL on the wrong foot! He collaborated with the Dems b/c he needed to repay them for their votes to elect him speaker.
