Not because he did a horrible job, I think he improved as the season progressed, but if they have an opportunity to grab a top offensive mind with a track record of developing QBs then they must do it. If Stroud does not improve next season changes will be made, I think a lot of people will wonder what might have been for Stroud with an experienced OC.

I don’t trust Stroud at this point but not ready to give up on him either. I would like to see the Texans hire a proven OC, early in offseason, hand the offense over and support him building his offense. I don’t know who that person would be but think Strouds deserves it. We’ve had too many first time OCs imo. I also think Demeco needs some help with game clock management. They’re close to the next level if they can keep the core together and add a few pieces. Unfortunately, they will likely lose of significant pieces of the defense.
