Just because someone coaches at a perceived “higher level” does not mean they are a better coach. Some of the best coaches I’ve been around coach HS ball or small college because it fits their philosophy of using athletics to teach the game of life.
Just got word a 2020 young lady I was working with just landed her 1st offer. It’s at a D2. She was told by everyone that had an opinion that she likely wouldn’t land anything. Coach after coach said no. Don’t give up! Believe in you when no one else will!
In Italy and Spain our bigs used to sprint in to everyone screen, multiple times on a possession, then have to guard the same pace on the defensive end.
They would be dead tired... great screeners like this video take advantage of that, look how weak that hedge is!!

Word of Advice & Reality: HS Hoopers, there will always be players get opportunities that aren’t as talented or deserving as you are! How you respond to this is totally up to you.
UNPOPULAR TWEET...Why are there NO MORE Dennis Rodman type players?
Cuz too many Parents, Trainers, Handlers, “Coaches”, etc telling kids that to “make it” they have to be a Stretch-4 or Handle the ball or my favorite “Expand their game”. 6’8 defender & rebounder isn’t COOL🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️

Dennis Rodman: The NBA’s original 5-position defender. While known mostly for his rebounding instincts, Rodman was arguably the most versatile defender the game has ever seen. Here’s a look at his defensive greatness against legends like MJ, Magic, Shaq, Bird, and more.
I want to thank all the restaurants that put their time & effort into recruiting me for dinner tonight. It was truly appreciated & humbling.
With that said, I have named my three finalists for dinner tonight, my cheat day for eating. Please respect my decision.
A note for recruits sending out film to coaches:
Getting steals doesn’t mean you’re a good defender. While including them in your highlights are fine, I can promise you we’d much rather see more clips of you moving your feet & locking down someone.
Steals are easy.
