I get that, but overwhelming security at 5 AM will not improve the situation. Even if less people call out you will still have issues if people show up 6 hours early. I get being there an hour earlier. But showing up at 5 AM for a 3 PM flight is going to be a disaster at TSA and in the terminal. I have flown to Denver multiple times in the last few weeks and no issues. Longest wait in DEN was 12 minutes. Most times I walked right through TSA. Hopefully it is that way again on Saturday. Good luck. Hope he gets back without any issues.
My flight from DEN on Saturday was full of people in Bronco gear. They were all over Hobby when I landed. #BattleOrange
CO Mines received significant contributions from all three phases in their 33-31 road win against West Texas A&M on Thursday (9/4/25) to start the season 1-0.
On offense, the Orediggers utilized a balanced attack, gaining 195 yards in the air and 168 yards on the ground, as they put 31 points on the board.
CO Mines’ defense also put up points, as a strong rush resulted in a safety that proved to be the difference in the game.
On special teams, punter Lucas LaFleur did his best Blake Doud impersonation as he punted 4 times, pinning 3 inside the 10 yard line with the 4th punt nearly being downed inside the 5 but was ruled a touchback.
Leading the Orediggers to the win were:
🏈 Joseph Capra, 17 Cmps on 23 Atts for 195 Yds & 3 TDs;
🏈 Landon Walker, 30 Carries for 138 Yds;
🏈 Pierce Richards, 7 Recs for 74 Yds & 2 TDs;
🏈 Nick Stone, 4 Recs for 49 Yds & 1 TD;
🏈 Will Ramsey, 5 Tackles (3 Solo & 2 Ast);
🏈 Brock Ewing, 5 Tackles (3 Solo & 2 Ast) with 1 TFL; &
🏈 Brady Zingelmann, 5 Tackles (1 Solo & 4 Ast).
I’m hoping and praying that Flynn Schiele has a speedy recovery and is back on the field when CO Mines takes on Washburn next weekend for their home opener.
