WASHINGTON COUNTY
Beginning June 1, contractors will begin seal coat operations on US 290 in Washington County. Work is expected to take approximately 8.5 days, weather permitting.
Additionally, mobile crews will be out starting this week preparing the roadway for work to begin.

Due to weather delays this week, crews will continue geotechnical work through next Tuesday, with daytime lane closures on US 290 between 9am & 4pm. To allow for any additional weather delays, motorists should expect daytime lane closures to continue through May 29.

Expect temporary daytime lane closures on US 290 May 11–22 (9am–4pm) for geotechnical work at the Old Mill Creek Bridge & Business US 290 bridge. Crews will be conducting geotechnical work for the Cloverleaf Interchange Project.

On Tuesday 5/19, UPRR will perform daytime work at the railroad crossing on George Bush Dr in College Station. Message boards will be in place warning motorists of this road closure and detour in the area. They will begin work at 7a.m. until 7p.m.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY FOR WALKER COUNTY-There will be a short closure on SH 19 at Trail Ridge this afternoon around 2:30 to 3pm for a new utility line to cross the highway. Please be aware and drive safe folks.

Heads up! SH 21 is currently closed westbound near the OSR intersection due to a crash involving an overturned sand haul truck. Drivers can expect delays and may need to plan for an alternate route.

BPD is responding to a major crash on W State Highway 21 at OSR involving an overturned 18-wheeler blocking both westbound lanes of travel. Traffic is being diverted around the crash at this time. Expect significant delays traveling westbound on SH 21. No injuries reported.

Union Pacific Railroad has planned work which will require a road closure at FM 50 near Penn Lane in Mumford on Sunday, May 3, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

🚧 Brenham traffic alert: Starting Mon, May 4, expect lane closures in both directions on US 290 at FM 2679 (west side of Brenham) as crews begin installing a new traffic signal. Delays likely — plan extra time, watch for workers, and use an alternate route if you can.
