Look, most of the country doesn't have the slightest clue what leftism is. They actually think Democrats are communists, which is beyond laughable.

Fact is, the 2024 election was a battle between Bush-Cheney Republicans and Trump Republicans. There was no meaningful and coherent leftist worldview presented to voters by the corporate media.

Jill Stein and other indie/left candidates were treated like pariahs and blacklisted and smeared as "spoilers" in mainstream political discourse.

This is by design. Americans are boxed into a red-blue binary, a construct created by oligarchs to keep the people asleep while they hoard resources.

Nothing changes until there is an actual debate between different ideologies, different approaches to structuring our country and our world.

One bright spot is that exit polls yesterday showed 80% of voters want something different, and 25% want a full-blown political revolution. But until we break the duopoly's grip and give voters real choices, we'll keep toggling between these two corrupt and destructive parties.

@_iamblakeley I agree with your point. I think in the larger perspective though, the elite, warmongering class wins no matter what. They know that whether it’s Trump or Harris, their lives will continue unchanged and that most policies from pro-Israel to pro-Wall Street will continue as is.
