Shiny round objects are irresistible to toddlers…
Me: What’s in this box?
My 2yr old son: Ball bearings.
Me: Which one do you want?
Him: EIGHT OF THEM!!!
Just found out my sister and my best friend are having their weddings on the same day (no they are not getting married to each other) and i have no idea what to do so im just gonna get real drunk and post garbage on this dying platform
My son who has barely been on this earth for two years just said “the geese on the bus go poop poop poop” and he is now on the short list for greatest human of all time
@tristanseifert I’ve only used clang for x86_64 work, haven’t used it for embedded yet. I agree that it’s better than gcc in every way, will definitely have to consider it for future work
That being said, I hate C++ with the fiery burning passion of a thousand suns. I would much rather write Rust macros than dealing with bonkers template metaprogramming
I previously was wary of C++ on microcontrollers because it bloated the binary with useless overhead, but it looks like GCC 11 is much better, and I’ve actually seen a *reduction* in code size switching from GCC 9 C to GCC 11 C++.
@mattsiegel Update: production run of Baby Pac-Man was 7000 units, which is pretty successful. 1982 was the start of a dark age for pinball—by that point, video games were much more profitable
@mattsiegel There were several attempts to combine pinball with a video game around 1982-1983. Gottlieb’s “Caveman” was another one. I don’t think they were very successful.
