Refusing to move into where people actually live via smaller stores was a major undoing that they weirdly refused to do all these years. Macros isn't sufficent reason for its decline and eventual end.
Nigerians don't own cars. They take bus, okada, walk... Infra designed around car ownership shrinks the customer base even before macros. Barely anyone lives within walking distance from ICM for example. That means, you're not going there just for water. You need to be "shopping"
