Imagine if a team like Carlton had an extra early bye right now to use on fixing their issues.

Its dumb. Either completely invest in it like Gather Round which works great or scrap it.

Those who play have 1 less week of pre-season. Those who don't could play a team whos already played a match or could play one with an early bye.

The league shouldn't have to rely on Collingwood to make it a success. Carlton opted out this year just like we are now. No noise for them though.

We also play Freo & Lions at their home ground earlier in the fixture. Theres more Vic teams than any other state so... Shocker the Vic teams have more games in Victoria.
