My dog gives me hope. He was returned to the shelter twice before we got him. When we brought him home, he was super nice and we kept him.

He can't understand human problems and that makes me think they aren't as bad as I make them out to be.

An artist who inspires me is Salvador Dalí.

As you can see below, his paintings are surreal and packed with detail.

He packs so much in his work. For example, the face painting has faces in the eyes and mouth, which have faces in them.

Music helps me think.

Here's my favorite band Touche Amore. Their lyrics help me turn my trauma into creativity.

Their live shows are like group therapy sessions.

Light comes from the past. The light from stars in the Eagle Nebula galaxy takes about 7,000 years to reach Earth.

These stars could be long dead, but their light is just reaching us now.

What an amazing legacy to leave.

I picked a skateboard to represent me because skateboarding is a sport all about creativity.

Skateboarding has more risk than reward and it takes dedication and determination to learn tricks.

This skateboard combines my love of skating and videogames.

I like this quote because you should never be afraid to be your honest self when writing. I believe a lot of writing is fueled by trauma and/or addictions. It is up to us to write our truth rather than hide behind a pretty facade. #writreat

My world is filled with depression, anxiety, poetry, video games, pro wrestling, and my dog.

I graduated from Kean University in 2022 with a BA in English.

I have self-published a poetry chapbook.

I have nothing.

No bread nor water,
no possessions nor money.

Yet, I am rich with life,
that bleeds from my pen.

I have no talents,
just a love of writing.

Will that ever be enough,
to feed my family?
