@JeremySWallace No, schools do NOT teach that. In fact, schools say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning. Disrespect is exactly what is being done to teachers with the lies!! No wonder there’s an extreme teaching shortage. The Governor perpetuates the disrespect.

@GregAbbott_TX If the systems are failing, it’s due to legislators who decide what is taught in the schools and how much funding school get. Teachers teach the required TEKS. Selling false propaganda to the masses of your rich donors for your own benefit. Shame on you!

@GregAbbott_TX Parents already have school choice. Private schools are already a choice and do not have to take kids with special needs, economically disadvantaged, & ESL students. They are also not mandated with same standards like STAAR tests. Support & fund public schools.

@GregAbbott_TX AND the change in the very biased, unfair standardized testing is another reason for those scores, which give unreliable data. It’s unreliable bc it’s written above grade level and one day out of the 180 that kids are in school. Legislators wouldn’t do well on those tests either.

@GregAbbott_TX ALL curriculum taught in public schools are determined by legislators. Try actually spending a full day in a school instead of spreading propaganda to fear-monger. Better yet, @GregAbbott_TX , how about you fund and appreciate the tireless work of teachers in our state!
