@Jack_Brentnall Coaching in the US is still not on the same level which people that don’t pay attention to football do not understand. So what if there were more potential players, they would continue to be equivalent to what is currently produced talent wise.
@angrymike2@DanielH_LUFC FIFA doesn’t care about the primary sport of the facility so you can include rugby stadia too. It would be more compact geographically which would work out well & public transit is more robust than in the US. It would be a great opportunity for global fans to see historic venues.
@AmFootballin Great concept. I think due to how saturated the football landscape is over here many people just don’t have much reason to stay up to speed with USMNT or football in the States generally, so good to see someone who is plugged in and able to speak from a place of knowledge.
@NYCFirm I feel the same energy in central London. I don’t ever want to be there and I’m always trying to get in and out as fast as possible when I do have to pass through
@TheBolivianYank Hard to deny the message when it’s coming from someone with his credibility. Not to mention it’s the same shit Jurgen was saying 12-15yrs ago.
@RobUsry The crazy thing was Poch literally highlighted the differences between other environments and praised Guatemala supporters for brining a certain level of passion.
@thomasbullock_@FIFAWorldCup Do you know if the model take into account the indoor venues in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Vancouver and Los Angeles from a climate standpoint?
@Stevinho21 Role players on elite teams represents a positive step in the grand scheme of things, but to your point the next level is being a key contributor at those types of clubs
@laneyditch@mfcgibson@secondtierpod Tbf it depends on what he wants next. If he bets on himself and his ability to play at this level (when fit), he’ll take an incentive heavy contract to prove he’s still got it. If he wants the easy way out, then back to the States
@KnowerOfBans What level of pro do you draw the line at? Like you could be good enough for the Malaysian Super League and still technically be considered a pro.
@TheBolivianYank He’s gonna be a baller for sure. I actually dont mind if they make the choice to go. Still hurts but USSF did all they could do with he and Esmir. Family roots run deep, simple as that.
@SkyPointSteve@TheBolivianYank The intensity and pressure still isn’t the same in the US. Doesn’t mean MLS can’t be a good stepping stone and I’m excited for the next generation of players that are breaking through. Agree on the European players though, they are absolutely playing like ass. That’s undeniable.
@SkyPointSteve@TheBolivianYank Jurgen was and is a shit manager. You don’t have to explain it to me as I remember it quite vividly. However he was right about MLS. Both can be and are true. This is what I am referring to: https://t.co/G9fdrvE61U
