@4golfonline So at 54 holes we wouldn’t have the “true” winner over half the time.
If you dive deeper into that 44% though you’ll see Tiger has an influence on that. Tiger is 44 out of 46 in his career as outright 54 hole leader. He is 55 of 59 with a share of the 54 hole lead 🤯

@4golfonline Well history for one, but second is if you look at 54-hole leaders who go on to actually win the golf tournament. PGA Tour average for converting 54 hole leads is 44%.
It also makes sense to have 2 days of cuts and then 2 days to determine the winner.
