Right, guv...Austin up to McClellan, yeah?
ELOEL3 out the gate to ABI, then J17 through DUMPS to TCC, swing onto J76 to FTI, skip up through RSK and ROCCY, then Q164 via KATTS into SPOOK, and you're home.

@danielbraden18 Tons of times internationally, but that was many moons ago. Setting up RNAV approaches is exponentially cheaper than maintaining ground infrastructure for approaches, so even developing countries are getting rid of that stuff.
Congrats to @ericjacobbutton and the team at @EnhancedRadar on the fundraise!
I was fortunate to be one of the beta testers of the ATC app that is blowing up the feed…but the work they are doing goes far beyond that and is much needed in the national airspace. Looking forward to seeing what is next for them.
We have raised $7 million in funding, led by @Initialized to build the next generation of air traffic systems. We’re joined by investors such as United Airlines, Y Combinator, and other amazing firms and angels who I'll tag at the end of this thread
I have a client in small town Virginia who wants to buy a Supermid. Budget is $30M - the very top end of this class.
They’re less concerned about cost and more with being able to consistently staff crew.
So I used @tylercflagg's new AI search tool to figure out exactly how many pilots had type ratings within 100 mile radius of their hangar.
Citation Longitude - SEVEN
Bombardier Challenger 3500 - TWENTY
Bombardier Challenger 650 - TWENTY
Gulfstream G280 - TWENT ONE
Embraer Praetor 600 - ONE
You can hire and train pilots from anywhere and airline them in, but local options are ideal - especially for an operation flying 300+ hours / year or chartering the jet frequently with erratic scheduling. You’ll burn them out!
@danielbraden18@MalachiONeill There’s only three types of clouds; happy clouds, sad clouds, and angry clouds.
Studying nephology beyond that is largely unnecessary for pilots.
Great question. Let's take a look.
Here are the most popular aircraft in the country by Type Rating. Not surprisingly, the top 7 spots are airline aircraft, and the CE-500 comes in at 8 which has been around since the early 1970s, meaning there are a still a lot of pilots who are qualified in (albeit not currently flying) those aircraft.
@tylercflagg Is 400 new type ratings issue in the last 12 months a lot? Average? Low? (Compared to other types and other years within the same type). That’s over 30/month.
