Nearly 20 Farm Bureau members and staff were in Washington, D.C. this week to advocate for Wisconsin farmers. The trip marked the completion of the WFBF Leadership Institute, a year-long leadership training program available to Wisconsin Farm Bureau members.
The program is sponsored by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation and in part by the Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board. Read more about their trip: https://t.co/EZ0jxQZLcH
PASSED: My gray wolf delisting bill with @RepBoebert was voted out of @NatResources today.
This bill returns wolf management back to the states and blocks judicial activism.
➡️NEXT STOP: House floor
All 👀 will be on USDA's #Plant25 report at 12ET, but ARC and PLC #FarmBill decisions are ~2 weeks away. Here's a quick estimate of ARC benefits by state for new crop #corn and #soybeans 🌽🌱 @TerrainAg#AgTwitter https://t.co/OoWuuHL5I1
@RepTiffany is fighting for Wisconsin farmers. The gray wolf has been recovered and should be celebrated as an ESA success story. Instead activist judges continue to defy science and logic. Congress must pass H.R. 845 - The Pet and Livestock Protection Act.
The gray wolf is NOT an endangered species.
It’s a predator that threatens the lives of pets, livestock, deer, and even humans.
If we don’t delist and manage the gray wolf, we are going to end up with a regrettable situation.
Wisconsin farmers know the importance of a balanced ecosystem and this bill returns balance through state management of Wisconsin's apex predator. Its time for Congress to act - wolves must return to state management to ensure responsible, science-based conservation.
Mr. Olson is also the chair of the @WIFarmBureau Dairy Committee and serves on the Policy Development Committee. The future of Wisconsin agriculture is in good hands!
Fifth-generation farmers from Barron County don’t wait for National Ag Week to promote their business, it's something the do all year round. https://t.co/be2ARoSjKr
Happy National Ag Day! Sometimes Agriculture is sharing our story in new places to new people. Earlier today, I joined @mulaw for a panel discussion on agriculture & water quality, highlighting how Wisconsin’s farmers are leading in conservation and driving solutions.
Reflecting on the wise words of a former boss, "When you get outside of any town of any size, #agriculture is what runs the economy." Here's the proof 👇 #NationalAgDay#oatt#AgTwitter
Happy National Ag Day! 🌾🚜
Agriculture isn’t just a career - it’s a way of life. From dawn to dusk, farmers live and breathe the land. Each state’s agriculture is unique across our country, and these governors know it. So, to every farmer, rancher, and producer, THANK YOU!
Wisconsin's farmers thank @RepTiffany for highlighting the issues faced by those living in prime wolf habitat. Congress must pass the Pet and Livestock Protection Act!
Gray wolves are slaughtering pets, livestock, and deer across Wisconsin and America. Their population needs to be delisted and managed.
WATCH me highlight examples here:
Canada has imposed insanely high tariffs on U.S. dairy products, including:
🥛Milk: 241% tariff
🧀Cheese: 245.5% tariff
🧈Butter: 298.5% tariff
President Trump’s proposed reciprocal tariffs make trade FAIR AGAIN for America’s dairy farmers.
After having conversations with @SecRollins and @elonmusk, Rep. Van Orden is thrilled to share that DBI Initiative program funding has been released!
Wisconsin's dairy farmers and processors work incredibly hard, and Rep. Van Orden commends the Secretary for her swift action to ensure the continuation of this critical program so our dairy businesses can continue to thrive.
