The track and field world has lost a legend with the passing of Dr. Ralph Mann. ❤️
Mann had a profound impact on the sport through all stages of his career. He was decorated athlete as a former world record holder in the 440yH and 400mH and won Olympic silver 400mH at the 1972 Games. Mann spent much of his life as a leading sports scientist in the Olympic space and made major innovations in the sport by taking the lab to the track.
His legacy will live on through the coaches, athletes, and sport scientists he’s influenced, the countless medals he helped athletes win, and his impact on track and field will continue to be felt for generations to come.
