Poor kid, if he ever finds out how corrupt and full of shit his grandpa is, and how many veteran suicides couldve been prevented if grandpa just would've cared about actually doing a sliver of what he said he has done/is doing.... Pretty sad when even crisis line staff and suicide prevention coordinator all tell me that flat out tell me they will try to get the leadership to address and fix the neglect, abuse, abandonment, and sabotage of my healthcare, but since the leadership is directly involved/or maybe even the direct cause, its completely out of their hands because they "cant make anyone do anything, especially not admins and leadership far above my paygrade...."

Same thing here, theyd rather kill us than help us, I've survived 3 years of constant suicidal ideation, which 5 different mental health evaluations have all confirmed I do not have any mental issues or disorders, and its not clinical depression, but that its situational suicidality and its understandable, if not expected, for anyone to be suicidal when the VA is the only reason I haven't been fixed and have had a decade of my adult life wasted (im 37) and its not just their mistakes, but its also them maliciously doing everything in their power to not let me get fixed so they dont have to admit they made a mistake and then committed ethical and even some criminal acts to cover it up, they wont stop falsifying and withholding pivotal medical records that they put into my referral packets, and they continhe to do everything to push me off the cliff of suicide and they finally did it, refusing to return calls or do anything to allow me to get proper, standard, ethical healthcare.

Not if VA staff have committed criminal and unethical acts against a veteran, then the entire VA, crisis line and suicide "prevention" coordinators included, couldnt care less if we end it all. Told crisis that I would go through with my plans of suicide this weekend if nothing was done by end of day today, have the call recorded with the local spc, who flat out said she cant do much since the cause of me wanting to end my life is her senior leaders maliciously hindering me from getting proper healthcare, was supposed to get multiple calls today and guess what, NOT A SINGLE CALL AT ALL FROM ANYONE

VA SECRETARY UNDERMINES TRUMP WHILE EYEING SENATE RUN

Persistent rumors say @SecVetAffairs Doug Collins plans to resign early to run for US Senate in Georgia.

I've long suspected that's why he's been weak and timid in advancing Trump's VA reform agenda.

Administration and congressional sources say he is quietly whipping House Republicans against the Take Care of America's Veterans Act — working members in person when he travels and emailing congressional offices directly.

Worse, people on Capitol Hill and inside the VA believe his own staff intentionally botched the rollout of the VA rule language to the media to tank the bill.

And what has Collins actually delivered for veterans?

No key wins.

Several Capitol Hill sources say he's claiming victories that aren't his — like the 38 new VA clinics now serving veterans.

Meanwhile, he's undermining President Trump's campaign promise to build a new VA hospital in New Hampshire, and he's broken promises to members of Congress on VA healthcare pilots that would give veterans better access to care.

Why fight a bill that helps veterans?

Ego.

Collins is thin-skinned, and he's furious from being cut out of the process that developed it.

And he was cut out for one reason: incompetence.

If he's not fully committed to reforming the VA and passing TCAVA, he should step down now.

Veterans are dying on his watch.

Yeah, if you guys had a clue or cared youd know its not good advise to tell a veteran who the VA is doing everything they can to kill, to call the VA, just to have them do absolutely nothing but continue to make me more miserable. The entire suicide issue is from the VA being allowed to pull this shit nonstop for years, and all anyone does is tell us to go fuck ourselves and call the people pushing us to suicide.... just so they can push even more....
